This starts my review line for healthy living. I’ve been taking Vitamin Code Raw Prenatal Multivitamins by Garden of Life for over six months, now, and I can say with certainty that I would highly recommend this product. Breastfeeding a baby takes a lot out of you, but breastfeeding a toddler takes even more. I went through quite a few different brands, even trying the MyLife organic line from the same company, but these are the first that got rid of the cold feet/low iron and constant fatigue I couldn’t seem to shake. I was on the verge of giving up on breastfeeding altogether, but these have helped me to continue.

They are Raw, so they are more easily absorbed by our bodies, and they have 10% of the daily value of magnesium–a level that was difficult for me to find in the Vitamin world. Most importantly, they’re natural and contain folate instead of the synthetic folic acid that has been known to cause more harm than good. I can imagine the added ginger doesn’t hurt when you’re in the early stages of pregnancy, either.

Another great thing about these is the fact that they’re in capsule form so you can easily pop them open and pour the contents into a shake if you don’t feel like swallowing a pill. If I had this option while I was pregnant it would have been so much easier, since I had horrible morning sickness and had to take shots of lemon to combat it while at work. The six billion count of probiotics doesn’t hurt, either.

One thing I don’t like is the fact that I have to take three pills throughout the day and most of the time I forget to go back and take the other two. I’ve set alarms and when that didn’t work I wound up just starting the day with two instead of one so I wouldn’t be going without if I ended up having a busy day away from home.

All in all I recommend this Vitamin and I trust this company for many other products that I use daily. I will be reviewing them soon.
